"Last review of the year, and of course I had to save the best for last, the GOAT of super burritos, Taqueria San Bruno! It's no secret, I've been the unofficial #1 since the 00s and it's because I've yet to find another carne asada burrito that compares. While others are good, there's just something out TSB that stands above. Maybe it's the crispy pieces of carne, the fresh rice and beans, or the light toast on the tortilla, it just hits the spot every time. I've even got my gf to love it, and she ate it cold 6hrs later. While the prices have increased, it's still worth it. Back in 07-08 super burritos were like $9-10, now they are $13.95. Considering inflation, that's still a good deal considering it's big enough to make two small meals out of. Will I be back in 2024, no doubt about it. Live. laugh. Burrito Do note, they'll be closed Dec 24-Jan 2, 2024 for a much deserved holiday break!"

“ Usually, when out this way I'm en route to or from SFO and whatever direction I'm headed a visit to nearby Taqueria San Bruno never makes the cut. This, despite the accolades heaped upon them by the SF Chronicle (top burritos list 2022, top tacos list 2022). Following a recent event at SFO I finally made time though, to grab both a shrimp burrito and a couple of carne asada tacos ($4.50 each) to go. The verdict? Worth a stop, even if parking anywhere but the 10-minute green zone directly in front is near impossible on a weekday. The carne asada tacos are definitely first-rate and plenty ample. Topped with salsa automatically, but TSB has a well-organized and hearty serve-yourself salsa bar to add to the mix. I did and though nothing additional was necessary on the tacos, I really enjoyed trying all of their salsa variations. Some other things fared a little less well: I didn't care much for the Super Shrimp Burrito. It was not of the sort made with cabbage which I find tastes more fitting. I'd not hesitate to order a burrito here again though I'd opt for carne asada over shrimp. And, as good as all those salsas are there's no escaping the fact that the chips are not prepared in-house. They taste like store brand chips and do the salsa no favors. Taqueria San Bruno is a hive of activity with an extensive menu but if I'm honest about returning here I'll also fess up: I'll probably never get around to tasting anything more here because the carne asada tacos satisfied completely. Carne Asada Tacos ($4.50 apiece).”

“ This is my family's favorite Bay Area style Mission burrito spot. It is called the supper burrito and includes beans, rice, cheese, guac, and a meat of your choice. They do not have black beans, so we typically default to refried beans (you can also choose pinto). Whenever we visit the Bay Area, this spot is always on the list of places to hit up. The hardest part is finding parking, as it is on a crowded street with lots of auto shops. Only street parking is available. Nevertheless, the place is always packed with people. I guess everyone knows the good stuff. The tacos are also quite good, but the burrito just hits hard. Typically, they also give you some fresh chips with each entree! There is also a salsa bar with a number of amazing salsas. They can get pretty spicy, so watch out! The fresh pico and the chunky salsa verde are must grabs for when we do take out.”
